We’re Bob and Richelle Ward, Realtors with Coldwell Banker Realty and a husband-and-wife real estate team based in Newtown, Connecticut, where we’ve lived for more than two decades. We believe buying a home or selling a house is about far more than contracts and closing dates. It’s about helping people navigate one of life’s biggest financial and personal decisions with honest advice, thoughtful guidance, and someone they can trust from beginning to end.
Clients have often described us as caring, honest, straightforward, knowledgeable, and dedicated. We take our work very seriously, but we also believe the process doesn’t have to be stressful every minute of the journey. Since becoming licensed in 2001, we’ve helped more than 550+ buyers and sellers through every stage of the real estate journey—from first homes and move-up homes to downsizing, probate, estate sales, and relocation. Along the way, we’ve been honored with multiple production and customer service awards, but we’re most proud of the relationships we’ve built and the trust our clients place in us.

Our Story
Like many of the clients we help today, we were once looking for a place that truly felt like home. After years of working in New York City and commuting from Long Island, we moved to Newtown in 2000 with our daughter in search of more space, a stronger sense of community, and more time together as a family. It didn’t take long for us to realize we’d found exactly what we were looking for. Having made that transition ourselves, we understand both the excitement and the uncertainty that come with a move, and we strive to help our clients feel informed and confident every step of the way.
In 2001, we both launched our real estate careers. Bob naturally gravitated toward construction, pricing, negotiation, and problem-solving, while Richelle focused on communication, organization, technology, and guiding clients through each step of the process. Those complementary strengths have become the foundation of how we work together today, allowing us to approach every transaction from different perspectives while working toward the same goal—helping our clients achieve theirs.
Real estate became the right career for us because it brings together everything we value: relationships, community, local knowledge, and the opportunity to help people through one of life’s biggest transitions. Connecticut gave us our home. Today, we’re grateful for the opportunity to help others find theirs.
Life Beyond Real Estate
When we’re not helping clients buy and sell homes, we’re enjoying the community that first brought us to Newtown more than two decades ago. Whether we’re attending local events, supporting local businesses, or simply exploring the towns we serve, we’re grateful to call northern Fairfield County home.
Family has always been at the center of our lives. Today we’re proud grandparents, and spending time with family continues to be one of our greatest joys. Sharing life with our pets also keeps us smiling—and reminds us that home isn’t just a place, it’s where the people (and animals) you love are.
Outside of real estate, Bob enjoys searching for hidden treasures at tag sales and resale shops, while Richelle can often be found walking their Goldendoodle, Ruby, at Fairfield Hills. A camera usually comes along too, capturing the changing seasons, historic buildings, local landmarks, and the everyday beauty of the communities we serve.
