Since 2001, we’ve been guiding buyers and sellers through the Connecticut real estate process with clear advice, thoughtful planning, and steady communication from start to finish. As longtime Newtown residents and full-time Realtors, we combine deep local knowledge with a calm, step-by-step approach so you always know what’s coming next. Around here, we call that Moving You HomeWARD.
We started our Connecticut chapter much like many of the clients we help today — looking for a place that felt like home and offered a better quality of life for our family. After years of working in New York City and commuting from Long Island, we moved to Newtown in 2000 with our daughter for more space, more community, and more time together. It didn’t take long for us to realize we’d found the right place.
In 2001, we both launched our real estate careers. Bob naturally gravitated toward the numbers, negotiation, and problem-solving side of the business, while Richelle focused on communication, organization, and helping clients navigate each step with confidence. Together, those strengths became the foundation of how we still work today.
Over the years, our life here has grown right alongside our business — now with a grandson who keeps us laughing, a very energetic golden doodle, and three cats who keep us humble. When we’re not working, Bob can usually be found hunting for treasures at tag sales and resale shops, while Richelle is often out walking around town or enjoying a summer drive with the top down.
Real estate became the “right fit” for us because it blends everything we value: relationships, community, local knowledge, and the privilege of guiding people into the next chapter of their lives. Connecticut gave us our home — now we help others find theirs.
When we launched our real estate careers in 2001, we entered a market that looked nothing like the one you see today. Interest rates were higher, inventory moved differently, and technology played almost no role in the buying or selling process. What hasn’t changed is how much trust matters when someone invites you into their life to help them make a major financial decision.
In the early years, we built our business the same way we still run it now — by showing up, communicating clearly, and doing what we said we would do. That created a foundation that carried us through multiple market shifts, including the 2008 financial crisis, the post-recession recovery, the fast-moving seller’s market of the late 2010s, and the pandemic boom that reshaped demand across Connecticut.
As the market evolved, so did we. We refined our pricing strategies, built systems that keep clients informed instead of guessing, and developed step-by-step plans for everything from preparing a house for sale to navigating a purchase with multiple moving parts. Over time, clients began returning for their next chapter — first-time buyers became move-up buyers, downsizers referred their adult children, and families called us again when life changed and they needed guidance.
Our business didn’t grow because of flashy marketing or pressure tactics. It grew because people trusted us. They appreciated straightforward conversations, realistic expectations, and our ability to explain not just what was happening — but why it mattered.
Today, we’re known for a balanced, steady approach. Whether the market is red-hot or slow and uncertain, we help clients make smart, confident decisions grounded in data, local knowledge, and practical experience. Two decades in, the goal hasn’t changed: keep people informed, reduce their stress, and help them move forward with clarity.
With more than two decades in Connecticut real estate, we bring a combination of experience, training, and deep local knowledge that helps our clients make smarter, more confident decisions. We know the neighborhoods, the market shifts, the pricing patterns, and the small details that can make or break a sale or purchase.
There are plenty of Realtors in Connecticut. What matters is working with someone who will be honest with you, prepare you for what’s ahead, and guide you through each step without pressure or guesswork. That’s the foundation of how we work.
Here’s what clients consistently tell us makes the difference:
Our roots in Newtown run deep, and community involvement has always been a natural extension of our life here. We believe that giving back, showing up, and supporting the people around us isn’t just meaningful — it strengthens everything we do as Realtors and neighbors.
Richelle volunteers with the Friends of the C.H. Booth Library and serves as the Phone Message Coordinator for the Newtown Historical Society, lending her voice to one of the town’s longstanding institutions. These roles keep her connected to the history, stories, and spirit of Newtown — all things that shape the community we love.
Bob brings his own unique style of community connection. He’s a familiar face at local tag sales, resale shops, and events, where he chats with residents, finds hidden treasures, and supports the small businesses that give Newtown its character. His enthusiasm for people and conversation means he often knows what’s happening in town long before it hits social media.
Together, we’ve sponsored movies at Edmond Town Hall, supported fundraising for Canine Advocates when Newtown needed a new dog pound, and organized a four-year community coat drive that helped local families stay warm through the winter. We’ve quietly stepped in to help community members who needed a holiday meal, donated consistently to the Faith Food Pantry, and marched in the Newtown Labor Day Parade many times — a tradition we look forward to every year.
We’ve also served as docents for local holiday house tours, and yes… if children are running a lemonade stand, we’re always stopping by for a cup. These moments, big and small, are reminders of why this community means so much to us.
Connecticut isn’t just where we work. It’s where we volunteer, participate, celebrate, and lend a hand whenever we can. Being part of this community has shaped who we are — and it fuels the way we serve our clients.
The relationships we build with our clients mean everything to us. Many come back years later, refer their family and friends, or stay in touch long after closing — and that trust is the foundation of our business.
“...They are real humans backed with serious experience - what a power duo! ”
– K.G. New Fairfield
Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of helping clients move through some of life’s biggest transitions — first homes, growing families, downsizing, relocations, and everything in between. These photos are just a small glimpse into the work we do and the people and places that make it meaningful.
Whether you're planning to buy, sell, downsize, or relocate, we’re here to help you move with clarity and confidence. Let’s take the stress, guesswork, and uncertainty out of the process and build a plan that fits your goals and your timeline.
